The Hughes STD-TC-100KS/45G is a temperature controlled safety shower with eye/face wash unit for when hot water supply is not readily available.
The integrated heated water tank holds 300 litres and can deliver 15 minutes of water within the “tepid” range, meeting the EN (15-37°C/ 59-88°F) and ANSI (16-38°C/ 60-100°F) recommendations. This means that unlike standard showers who rely on the building’s water temperature, the STD-TC-100KS/45G can provide the heated water independently.
To maintain the “tepid “ range the shower is equipped with a high flow rate thermostatically controlled mixing valve. This valve ensures the temperature is kept between 22°C and 28°C at all times. Another benefit of this is that other safety showers in the vicinity can take advantage of the heated water supply by using a second outlet on the unit. The model is fully frost-protected and operational in ambient temperatures as low as -25°C/-13°F.
The shower model is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It is also available in a flameproof version for hazardous areas (ATEX Zone 1 and 2) and a non-flameproof version for non-hazardous areas.
