Emergency Safety Showers for Colder Environments

Safety being a priority isn’t weather-dependent; worksites where employees are exposed to the risk of exposure to harmful materials/chemicals must mitigate the risk all year round. Maintaining water at a tepid temperature is vital no matter what the ambient conditions are. This may present a difficulty in the colder winter months, and for this reason safety officers and facility managers should ensure that their emergency safety showers are ready for winter use. Let’s take a look at some models from the Hughes Safety range that are suitable for use in colder working environments.

The Hughes EXP-MH-14KS/1500 1500L Immersion Heated Gravity-fed Tank Emergency Safety Shower

This gravity-fed emergency safety shower unit is immersion-heated and is capable of maintaining the water at the correct temperature even in environments with an ambient temperature as low as 35°C. As a mobile emergency safety shower unit there is no requirement for it to be near a mains water supply, so is ideal for providing safety shower facilities on worksites with poor or no water flow.

An optional foot panel is available to allow for hands-free operation, as is an optional eye/face wash unit.
